Our school library is a welcoming and spacious hub of learning and imagination. Despite being a small school, we are proud to have a large, well-resourced library filled with a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books to suit all interests and reading levels. Students are encouraged to borrow books weekly through our Oliver borrowing system, and all have access to SORA—Education Queensland’s eBook library—offering even more reading opportunities. The library is also open at lunch times, providing a quiet space for reading, games, and creative play.
Oliver
Oliver is a cloud-based library system which features a modern, intuitive interface and personalised recommendations. It makes discovering and accessing our library resources effortless, anytime, anywhere, on any device. At Benaraby, we aim to foster a lifelong love of reading in all our students, and using the Oliver borrowing system is one of the many strategies we use to support this goal. It helps students develop independence, responsibility, and excitement around choosing and borrowing books.
Sora
Sora provides students with access to a wide range of eBooks and audiobooks, supporting diverse learning needs and promoting inclusion. It’s a valuable tool in our inclusive learning space, offering flexible, accessible reading options for all students.
